성기훈은 이 드라마의 주인공이다. 구조조정으로 실직한 후 사채와 도박을 전전하다 이혼을 하고 무기력한 삶을 이어가고 있다. 어머니 돈을 훔쳐 경마장에 갈 만큼 철이 없다. 새아빠를 따라 미국에 간다는 딸과 당뇨로 당장 입원해야 하는 어머니를 위해 큰돈이 절실하다. 지하철에서 만난 의문의 남자가 건넨 명함, 말도 안 된다고 생각하면서도 결국 기훈은 456억 원의 상금이 걸린 게임에 참여한다. 하지만 자신이 무엇을 걸어야 하는지는 도착해서야 알게 된다.
Sung Ki-hun is the main character of this show. After losing his job due to restructuring, he divorced and continued his lethargic life while gambling with private loans. He is immature enough to steal his mother's money and go to the racetrack. A large amount of money is urgently needed for a daughter who follows her stepfather to the United States and a mother who has to be hospitalized immediately for diabetes. He meets a mysterious man on the subway and the man hands over his business card to Ki-hun. Even though he thinks it doesn't make sense, Ki-hun eventually participates in a game with 45.6 billion won in prize money. But he doesn't know what he has to stake until he arrives.

이정재는 1990년대에 패션 모델로 데뷔했다. 90년대 초반 학원비를 벌기 위해 압구정동에서 알바를 했는데, 기획사 매니저 눈에 들어서 모델로 발탁된다. 당시의 초콜릿 광고에 나왔다.(내가 고등학생 때였는데, 이정재는 정말 눈부시게 아름다웠다.)
